Using progressive resistance exercise, with weights, learn to enhance power and endurance by controlling the breath.
Increase breath control by gentle intermittent hypoxic exercise (safe, and brief periods of breath pausing, or holding) in a heated pool.

The Schedule
4 hours of conscious breath, movement, strength training, mindful exercise, martial arts based striking techniques and intermittent hypoxia using the swimming pool – including dynamic resistance, progressive resistance, static contraction and a sequence of internal locks to promote blood flow and oxygenation.
9 AM Seated meditation with emphasis on breath counting, letting go of thought, relaxation and the establishing of ‘intent’ as to what we wish to receive from the training session.
9:40 AM Use of the ‘breathing stick’ to establish a synchronicity of breath and movement, using techniques to establish a full range of motion with the body while transitioning to static holds (muscular contractions), dynamic resistance exercises and intermittent hypoxic movements (designed to create breathing efficiency, less breath per minute).
10 AM Creating stress in order to learn to release stress. Using bodyweight exercise and the ‘breathing stick’ to create stressful positions (generally stretches or contractions) in order to visualize and understand the way our bodies accumulate and store stress (and in what areas) during an average (or stressful) day. Practicing breath and movement techniques to release or ‘let go’ of this accumulated stress.
10:30 AM Seated mediation – further stress release – guided by the breath.
11 AM Progressive resistance exercise using Hammer Strength machines – BUT WITH BREATH CONTROL TO FACILITAE AND ACCENTUATE THE ECCENTRIC (LENGTHENING) PHASE OF THE MOVEMENTS IN ORDER TO MAXIMIZE STRENTH GAINS.
11:40 PM Five-minute seated meditation – emphasis on relaxation.
Relaxed martial arts/boxing based striking techniques to encourage fluidity of the body while learning or improving a primal skill - Developing neuroplasticity of the brain.
12:00 PM Further relaxation in the swimming/walking pool – pool is constant depth (4.5 feet) - including gentle hypoxic drills to increase breathing efficiency and encourage deeper relaxation.
12:40 PM Seated ‘LET GO’ mediation. Allowing the body and mind to absorb the principles learned in the workshop.
1 PM Lunch and discussion.
